Who we are
Motor Finance Guide is an independent UK website providing a free car finance comparison calculator and general information about car finance products. It is not a financial services firm and is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

What data we collect
Calculator inputs — all figures you enter into the car finance calculator (car price, monthly payments, APR, term etc.) are processed entirely within your browser. None of this data is sent to or stored on our servers. We never see it.
Feedback emails — if you click “Send feedback” and send us an email, we will receive your email address and any message you include. We use this solely to respond to your feedback and improve the tool. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.
WordPress & server logs — like most websites, our web server automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is standard server log data used for security and performance monitoring and is not used to identify you personally.
Cookies
This website uses the minimum cookies required to operate. WordPress sets a small number of functional cookies to manage the website. We do not currently use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics that identify you personally.
If we add analytics or advertising in the future, this policy will be updated and a cookie notice will be displayed.
Third-party services
This site may link to external websites such as MoneyHelper, Citizens Advice, and the FCA. Once you leave our site, their own privacy policies apply and we have no control over their data practices.

Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to request access to any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how it is used. Given that we collect very little personal data, in most cases the only data we might hold is any email correspondence you have sent us.
